Butch began his insurance career with Hartford Insurance in 1976 as a claim representative. He has worked with other companies until he entered the agency side with Langale-Willis Agency in 1983. In 1987, he joined Valdosta Insurance Services as Partner.
Butch married his wife Jane in 1970 and earned his BBA from Valdosta State university in 1973. Butch has served his country in the United States Marine and is Vietnam veteran.
 Len A. Carter, AAI

A native of Valdosta, Len attended local schools and graduated from the Valwood School in 1973 and Valdosta State University in 1978 with a BBS in Business Management. Has been in the insurance business since 1980 and joined Valdosta Insurance Services in 1987. Len holds the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation and is a licensed insurance counselor.
In his career, he has served as a board member on both the local and state Big I associations, Past President of the Valdosta-North Rotary Club, served two terms on the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce board and is a 35 year Georgia High School Association basketball referee.
Len is married to his wife Melissa, and they have two daughters, Dori and Aldine.
 H. Byron Courson, CIC

Byron is a native of Valdosta, Georgia and is a graduate of Valdosta High School and Valdosta State University. He began his career as a claim adjuster with GAB Business Services, Inc. in Marietta, Georgia in 1985.
In 1987, he accepted a position with Maryland Casualty Insurance Company as field claim adjuster for the Atlanta Region. He also crossed trained in other areas of Insurance while on the company side of the business.
In 1989, he accepted a position with Tillman Insurance Agency in Valdosta working in the position of Marketing of Commercial Insurance .
In 1991, he accepted a position with Anderson Insurance Agencyin Valdosta as a Commercial lines producer.
In 1994, Valdsota Insurance Services, Inc. purchased the assets of Anderson Insurance Agency, and he became a partner in VIS with this acquisition.
Byron currently holds two professional designations, Certified Insurance Counselor (1992) and Certified Risk Manager (2008). He also has an active Georgia Counselor License and an active Georgia Surplus Lines License.
He is married to Katharine Carter Courson and has one daughter, Katharine McRee Courson.
 Julian Carol (Trey) Sherwood, III

Trey has lived in Valdosta since he was four years old. He is a graduate of Valdosta High School and graduated from Valdosta State University in 1992.
Trey has been in the insurance business since 1992 and served as Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia's Young Agents Committee. Trey currently holds the Certified Insurance Counselors Designation which he obtained in 1999. Trey also sits on the Board of Shared Agency Services as well as the Valdosta City School System.
He is married to the former Leslie Wetherington and they have two daughters, Abbie and Julia.

Brother was born and raised right here in Valdosta, Georgia. He and his wife Jamie have 3 children, Bo, Maggie, and Jack. Brother was an airline pilot for Peidmont/U.S. Airways for nearly two decades. He has since retired from the airlines and has joined the VIS team as a Personal & Commercial lines agent. He still enjoys flying on the side as well as hunting and fresh & salt water fishing with his children. Alcyone Plantation has been in his family for years and is now operated as a South Georgia wedding Venue. Brother and his family are members of the Park Avenue Methodist Church.
 Summer Clark

Summer Clark is from Statesboro, Georgia but moved to Valdosta in 2002 when she began her studies at Valdosta State University. She graduated from VSU in 2005 and began her insurance career as an independent agent working with Aflac. Summer joined the life and health department at Valdosta Insurance Services in 2006. She is married to Scott Clark who raises quail for the local plantations. Summer is a member of the Quitman Church of Christ where she teaches Sunday School, she also works with the local Children's Home one weekend each month.

Matt was born and raised in Valdosta, graduating from Valdosta High School in 1999 and then Valdosta State University in 2003. He began working at Valdosta Insurance Services in 2000 while still in college. Matt currently holds The Certified Insurance Counselor designation (CIC), and has an Agent’s and Counselor’s license. He serves on the Young Agents Committee (YAC) of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG) as the District 6 Director. He is a member of the Azalea City Kiwanis Club.
Matt is married to Heather Hiers Dorsey, an art teacher at Lowndes High School, and they are active members of Park Avenue United Methodist Church. He currently serves on the Finance Committee of the church. He enjoys playing softball and tennis as well as supporting Valdosta State athletics.

LeAnna was born and raised here in Lowndes County. Her career in insurance began with State Farm in 2004 as sales representative in personal, commercial, life and health lines of the business. Here, at Valdosta Insurance Services, LeAnna will specialize as a personal & commercial lines agent.
LeAnna is married to Adam Greene, a project manager for Southern Allied in Hahira. She is an active member of the Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, MetroOne Association and Pauline Baptist Church. In her spare time, LeAnna enjoys playing softball and golf.
 Brian Mitchell

Brian is a Valdosta native and a graduate of Lowndes High School class of "82". He entered the insurance business in 1988 as a sales agent for The Independent Life and Accident Insurance Company. With success in that position Brian was promoted to sales manager and moved to Leesburg Fl in 1992. As a sales manager he and his staff earned 4 sales seminar invitations, one honor sales manager award, and one presidents trophy. In 1996 he was promoted as a Field Trainer and moved to their Jacksonville Florida home office and worked there until the company was sold. Upon moving back to Valdosta he was given a position with Valdosta Insurance Services in their new Life and Health department in 1997. He also has a property and causality license along with a LUTCF designation. Brian has two children Brittany and Matthew.

William "Mabry" Smith, 32 years old, was born and raised in Valdosta. He is a graduate of Valdosta High School and The University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! Licensed in both Property and Casualty, as well as Life and Health insurance, Mabry has been in the insurance business and with Valdosta Insurance Services, Inc. since 1998, serving as an insurance producer. His hobbies include saving people money on their insurance, hanging out with my wife and baby girl, playing golf, hunting, fishing, and all things associated with UGA football.
